The Fitek Standard: Built for the Field

Most gear is designed in an office. Ours was born on the West Coast of Canada, out in the brush and on active industrial sites.

About us

Why we started

During my career as a forester on Canada's West Coast I saw tablets and drones go from "neat gadgets" to "essential tools." But the gear we had to carry them—heavy cotton vests and flimsy neck lanyards—wasn't keeping up. The vests were hot and terribly uncomfortable when carrying heavy gear and the lanyard for a UAV controller placed the display tight against my body which made looking at the display for extended periods more than just uncomfortable.

I built the first Fitek harness at my grandmother’s sewing machine because I was fed up with the status quo. I knew there had to be a way to carry tech that didn't compromise a worker's safety or comfort.

How we solve the "Sore Neck" problem

If you've spent 10 hours looking at a drone display or a tablet, you know the fatigue is real. We don't just "hold" your gear; we position it.

  • Neutral Posture: Our harnesses move the weight to your shoulders and back, allowing you to maintain a natural line of sight.
  • MOLLE Compatibility: You don't just carry a tablet. You carry radios, bear spray, batteries, and surval gear. Our modular system lets you build the rig you actually need.
  • Backpack Ready: We designed our straps to sit flat so you can wear a full pack over the harness without pressure points.

Our Promise

We don't do "revolutionary" or "game-changing" hype. We do Safety and Comfort, No Compromise. If our gear doesn't make your work easier and your body feel better at the end of the day, we haven't done our job.
